Lauren Conrad inspired look

Heyy guyss! I recently uploaded a hair tutorial on youtube inspired by Lauren Conrad.

I really liked this hairstyle because it's a cute, simple every day look for any occassion!

Items used :

straightner by Con Air

a brush

a bobby pin

a heat protecting spray

a bottle of hair spray

For video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dxhbiHvVAo . When I straigten my hair, I usually try to make it AS FRIZZY AS POSSIBLE. I have naturally curly hair but find that when it is frizzy it straightens better and holds longer!

** Start off with brushing your hair and parting it in two sections. Using some kind of heat protecting spray, cover the whole area so that you don't burn your hair. Then take your straightener and start to straighten pieces by layers. Once your whole head is straightened, part your hair to whichever side you like - I usually part mine to the right (Lauren parts hers on the right in the picture : http://img2.timeinc.net/instyle/images/2008/hhm/042408_conrad_300x400.jpg)

Then take your bobby pin and make sure your hair is very tight against the side of your head so it won't move around.

** A LITTLE TRICK to make the bobby pin stay in place longer is to take hair spray and spray all over the top of where the bobby pin is.

How to determine your skin tone

Hello fashionistas! HOW DO YOU DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TONE???

Now I know you guys are probably thinking . . . "What is an undertone?" An undertone is composed of 3 pigments: Carotene-yellow; Melanin- brown; Hemoglobin- red. If a person has more of the hemoglobin and melanin, red and brown makes a blue overtone so that person has a COOL undertone. If a person has more of the carotene, which is yellow based, that person has a WARM undertone.

** A COOL TRICK on how to find out what season you are in is to look at the freckles on your arms, face, legs, wherever. If your freckles are a darker brown you know right away you are either winter or summer. If you notice your freckles are a lighter brown, you are either a spring or a fall.

The 'Teen Center'


The best teen site . com AKA the 'teen center' was created and built with the goal to raise money and donate to organizations that help inner city kids. I am very passionate about helping others therefore this site provides tips and advice on topics such as fashion, skin care, relationships, and much more while providing a lending hand to those less fortunate. All proceeds made from a site called http://www.cafepress.com/Shop4YourCause (link also located on my homepage on the right hand side under the About Me) is happily donated to various charities :)

The original 'teen center' was called A New Look For Less which focused more on virtual hairstyles and hairdos (original homepage picture located in the About Me section : http://www.thebestteensite.com/about-me.html). I wanted to incorporate more information on the site so I updated and changed everything. Each category is filled with articles that can help tweens, teens, and young adults alike. The Best Teen Site still features virtual hairstyles and hairdos. It's so cool! NO MORE GUESSING. Having a virtual makeover eliminates the "I wonder..." or the "Hmmm, I don't know" in choosing a new style or color and the best part is : no risk and no cost! And it's super easy - all you have to do is send me a picture of yourself with a pony tail *make sure all loose hairs are all pushed back too* against a light colored wall *it works best* and I'll take care of the rest!
